McBess show at Concrete Hermit!

Hi all, - so, back from Berlin and no rest or respite, the cogs keep turning. Nobrow and Concrete Hermit are putting together a show of McBess’ latest body of work. Get your collective asses down there next Thursday for free booze, a brilliant show and the chance to hear an exclusive test pressing of a record we are doing with Mc and The Dead Pirates called ‘Malevolent Melody’. Nobrow is launching it’s very first open submissions competition based on the title and concept of Nick White’s book ‘People I’ve Never Met and Conversations I’ve Never Had’. Submission guidelines can be found here. A selection of 50 of the final submissions will be published in a Nobrow book to be released next year. Young ilustrators, here’s your chance to get noticed! Abecederia has been sent to press and is now available for pre-order! A detective story stuck in an alphabet book, the comic novella is the first of Blexbolex’s works to be translated for the English market. Both the French and German editions of this book are now out of print, so don’t waste any time, get your copy here!

Blexbolex’s first English language book ‘Abecederia’ has been sent off to print and will be available for pre-order from this Friday. The book is set to be released mid-to-late october to coincide with Nobrow’s presence at the Illustrative fair in Berlin, the home of the award-winning artist.
‘Abecederia’ is the tale of two bank robbers, Bernard and Leon Blanchet, on the run from the law, who are forced into the depths of the jungles of Katagonia to a mysterious penal colony called Abecederia…
