Tomorrow evening we’re going to the V&A for their late opening where Jack Teagle and Luke Pearson will be running a workshop on Visual Narrative. They’ll be there from 6:30 – 9:00. This is a rare opportunity to learn from two of the current high-flyers in comics. If that isn’t enough, Nick White will be there drawing tattoos on you! Also we’ll be there with some books.

On Saturday the 26th Luke Pearson will be at Gosh Comics in Soho to Launch his new book, Hilda And The Midnight Giant. There is also a selection of original pages from the comic on display. This book is going to be special and this will be a wonderful opportunity to get Luke to draw in your copy.
I can also reveal that there may be a special appearance from Hilda Herself…

If you’re in London tomorrow you need to come to the Comiket! We’ll be at the Comics and Art fair along with the best publishers and artist in the UK. Richard Short will be there with a limited number of pre-release copies of Klaus and Luke Pearson will be doing some live drawing and a book signing. You’d have to be crazy to miss it.

Old Shoreditch Station Tonight… Be there! All the way from Berlin come frequent Nobrow collaborators ‘Biografiktion’ – amazing small press illustration and comics collective, these guys are exhibiting their works in London for the first time. The theme of the show is ‘food’ so expect some tasty artwork! Édition Biografiktion is: Ana Albero, Till Hafenbrak and Paul Paetzel.

Dans un effort pour nous rapprocher de nos lecteurs français, de plus en plus nombreux, nous avons décidé de publier la majorité de nos titres en français. Et donc, nous sommes très contents, et pas peu fiers, d’annoncer que le premier titre que nous proposons en français est… Hilda et le Géant de la Nuit, qui sortira en librairie le 18 janvier prochain en France! Ceux qui choisissent de passer commande aujourd’hui même, en plus de recevoir un poster en édition limitée, n’auront que quelques semaines à attendre, puisqu’ils recevront Hilda le 28 novembre.
Hilda et le Géant de La Nuit, écrit et illustré par Luke Pearson, est une histoire qui ne se passe pas en France, non, mais quelque part dans les montagnes scandinaves. Là où cohabitent humains, elfes et géants, dans la paix et l’harmonie. Enfin pas tout à fait, comme va l’apprendre à ses dépens la petite Hilda, l’héroïne de notre histoire.

The Double is launching this Thursday. With drink sponsorship from Ketel One Vodka, installation pieces from several artists involved in the new issue and plenty of copies of the book this promises to be a top event.
The exhibition runs 3rd November 2011 to January 2012 (date tbc) at DreambagsJaguarshoes, 32-34 Kingsland Road, Shoreditch, London E2 8DA.
